Who we are
Joseph Edward Electrical is an electrical contractor based in Surrey. This policy explains what personal information this website collects and what we do with it.
What we collect
When you send a quote request we collect your name, email address, phone number, postcode, a description of the work and, if you attach them, photographs of the job. We also keep the date and a short reference number for the request.
We do not use advertising cookies or analytics that track you across other websites. The site sets no cookies of its own.
Why we collect it and the legal basis
We use your details only to respond to your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to carry out the work. The legal basis is that it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)), and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
Where it goes
Quote requests are sent by email to Joseph Edward Electrical and processed by our email provider. They are not sold or shared with anyone else, other than where we are legally required to.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 12 months. Records relating to work carried out are kept for as long as we are required to for accounting and legal purposes, normally six years.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how it is used. Contact us using the details on the contact page. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
WhatsApp and phone
If you contact us by WhatsApp or phone, those services have their own privacy policies. Messages you send us are kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry.
